You can call it compulsion or addiction. You can find medication to subdue the problem, but are your really addressing the issue. We are social animals and need the support of others around us. If you continually go into the library, you will read. If you go into the bar, you will have a drink. And, Dido at OTB, Casino, etc. What are the signs of a problem?
Neglect of responsibilities
Lying- to love ones, friends, and even yourself
Spend money you don’t have
These are just a few. The biggest problem with Gambling Addiction is the personal financial recovery and its affect on the family. There is no simple answer, but you need to confess you have a problem. I by no means saying, “if you gamble, you have a problem”. Only you can recognize the problem.
